MP1700 Series Security Router
The MP1700 series modular security router is a small network access router for WAN small size end access. The series comprises MP1700E router.
The MP1700E router adopts fixed and modular integration structure. It provides a robust and low-cost 1700 series router solution for customers. It offers packet-forwarding capability with 40Kpps throughput and applies to small branch access and ATM access.
The MP1700E router integrates routing, VoIP, security, transmission, network management and video network applications satisfying a variety of customer requirements. The router supports SNA/DLSw, VoIP, VPN and MPLS application technologies, and backup and QoS features.

Key Features
High Speed Forwarding Engine Technology
The router incorporates high-speed forwarding engine technology. The MP1700E series routers with 40Kpps throughput support 10Mbps bandwidth wire.
High expansibility
The router provides one high-speed MIM slot and one VoIP slot on the basis of fixed dual FE Ethernet interfaces and one WAN interface to allow VoIP expansion. The 2FE Ethernet interfaces facilitate separation between OA and service protecting the network investment.
Transmission & routing integration
The inset transmission module comprises frequency band 33.6K-modem, baseband 128K-modem and ISDN. The integrated modem modules reduce customer network investment.
Remote management
The inset dialing modem or console interface external dialing modem function as telnet and the user switches to telnet configuration mode using button and dialing interfaces for remote service.
Compatibility
The router is RFC-compliant. It is compatible with network equipment of Cisco, Huawei and Juniper.
